Here's a sneak peak at some new pieces I've been working on:
This first one was done in an art class I am taking. It was inspired by Gabriel Moreno. I love his work. Absolutley love it. This one was alot of fun, and you can expect to see some more like this in the near fiutue. To see the picture larger (I suggest, you really need to see the full fantastic-ness) click on it. I really love love love the yellow eye. I don't know why, but I do. Plus, I like the tension between the soft and the hard. The flowers against the wood, and the winding ribbon twisted into knots.
Also, what do you all think about the background? It's very different for me.
Another beginning sketch - I just thought it might be interesting for you to see the beginning, and the outcome.
I really like how this one is turning out. Is she committing suicide? Is she jumping into something? Whats below her? Are thos ribbons tied to something? UP TO YOU. :)
(There is more at the bottom of this one, but unfortunatly my scanner wasn't large enough.)

First off, I love how the shadowy part in the first piece was made into wood. I think it turned out so well! I am still loving the flowers best in that one but still like how you colored the eye, too. :) Mermaids! Yay! I agree with you on how well the movement carries through on this. I also love the 'fins' you added to them. And last but not least, I am really loving this one. Its really neat to see the progress in the pieces and I like how this last one had a little more to it but you took it out and then added smaller details before painting. As you know, I LOVE the colors and the lace detail around the bust, I also like the 'string' belt that you added in the colored piece vs. the sketch. I like to think that she's jumping off a cliff and that she's going to fly.
