Testing out Tumblr
Ever heard of Tumblr? Me neither, but they seem pretty interesting, so I am trying them out. Check out the new Revereie Rendition blog on Tumblr, here!

New picture oh-so-close to being finished! But I can't wait, here are some pictures!
BAM!
BAM!
BAM!
I am hoping on finishing this piece tonight. Hopefully.
Looking foward to the weekend? I am! The Alaska State Fair started today and tomorrow I will be on my way out of Anchorage to the crazy-ness! I took some time of work and am excited to just have some fun time. :)
That's tomorrow. Right now though, I cannot decide what to make for dinner. Pasta...again, or something new? But what could I make thats new - without a trip to the grocery store? This should be interesting...

Sneak Peek
Hello. I know it's been a while. Don't look at me like that! I am here, aren't I? Yes. And I come bearing new sketches! Well, one new sketch, but that's good enough. =] See below...
p.s. click to enlarge
Also, I have added some new pictures to Etsy - if you were at the Forrest Fair, you have probably already seen them. If not, well, surprise!

Mmm Mmm Good!
I just got off work an hour ago, and by the time I bike back home I am starving! So what do I do? Make something delicious of course! I start with the same ingrediant I start with everytime. Pasta. Today it was angel hair. Boiled some water and mixed in a vegetable garden seasoning mix (which is awesome! It has red bell peppers, onion, sundried tomatoes, leeks, garlic, carrots - it does all the chopping for you!) and cooked the nummy pasta. And when that was done cooking, threw in some pesto and sprinkled the top with shredded mozerella. Sounds good, right? No. Just looking at it I could tell something was wrong! Terribly wrong! It needed to be topped with diced tomatoes. Yup. Luckily I had some tomatoes to dice. :)
And there is my Arizona Tea. What a nice compliment, right? Oh, and ignore the Nutella, that was my pre dinner desert. :) What a nice dinner. It was even a candel light dinner!

Lunchbreak 6/21
I have a lot of little random things to talk about today, so if I seem a little jumpy it's just because I'm rambling...
The mats came in and OMG they are lovely! Documounts did a great job; everything is cut perfectly and I will definitely be ordering from them again!
The apartment unpacking is going pretty good. I am still a little unorganized, and that is something I definitely need to fix before I loose my mind, but it is coming along. Also, I really need to get a new comforter. Right now I have a twin size comforter on a queen size bed. Not working so well. I was looking at this one (see the birdies?!) from West Elm. It's only a duvet cover, so I will need the down comforter as well, but since it is on such a great sale I was thinking of buying it before the expensive down comforter. I like the birds.
I was reading an article on Art Bistro about putting together a good workplace design for freelancers. After reading it, I decided I need a lot of things to make my room less distracting, more organized, and...artistic (the birds are artistic aren't they?). First, I need lots of light, but I have that taken care of with the rather large windows in my room. Check. Next I need some sort of bulletin board to post notes or inspiration to. And it should be at eye level and arms reach. I also need lots of inspiration around, for when creative blocks strike. Luckily, I have a rather large, naked wall that is desperately in need of some dressing. Next I need two separate desks - one for drawing, and one for my computer. Too bad I don't have space for this. If I could reduce my closet, I could put a little desk in there...but being able to reduce my closet seems unlikely. I also need a large calender to keep track of all my impotent dates and deadlines. I hope I can find a pretty one! And knowing me, I will need music, but I already have a nice radio/iPod setup, so I can check that one off. So I need, 1.) a bulletin board, 2.) a decorated wall, and 3.) a calendar. To the Almighty List we go.

Lunchbreak 6/14
I can't decide if I want to eat Kraft macaroni and cheese, or Maruchan's home-style Japanese noodles for lunch. So while I contemplate the pros and cons of each, I shall blog.
I am feeling a bit overwhelmed, though I still can't tell if it is good or bad. I feel like I need a list, some sort of organization so I don't miss anything or lose my mind.
- Make new business cards to take to the Forest Fair. The old ones are lame. I need new ones! Maybe I will make them shiny, add some glitter, a little ribbon and some bells and whistles. Or, I could just add the link to the blog, maybe that will help get some attention, rather than making business cards that weigh five pounds.
- Make prints of art for the Forest Fair. I was supposed to do this last weekend, but forgot. See, I really do need a list. Also, OMG OMG OMG - my mat boards are supposed to arrive tomorrow and I cannot wait. It's almost a little sad how excited I am for a bunch of cardboard pieces with big holes in them. Oh well. In case anyone is wondering, or any fellow artists are interested, I ordered the mat boards from a website called Documounts. Though I haven't received my order yet and i can't comment on the product, I can say that they shipped out much sooner than expected. Considering it takes time for them to actually cut the mats, since all of mine were custom sizes, plus the time for shipping, I paid extra for the express production and should receive them sooner than expected. Very pleased.
- Take my graduation ring into the jewelers to have it checked out. I have to take it every six months, or else the warranty expires. And I definitely wouldn't want the warranty to expire since I already had to use it. It's a beautiful ring, with little tanzanite stones, and after the first week of wearing it, one fell out! I was shopping at the Gap, and looked down to see an empty setting! I'm sure you can imagine my horror. The people at Gap must have thought we were insane, because for a while we were walking around staring at the floor, covering every inch of the floor looking for that tanzanite stone. Luckily though, I had the warranty which supplied me with a replacement stone.
- I need to finish unpacking. Seriously. My cluttered room of cardboard boxes is starting to get on my nerves.
- Find someway to change up my pasta. When I went grocery shopping last weekend, pasta was $1.00 a box! That's almost 50% OFF! So I bought some. Okay, maybe a lot. Anyways, I need to figure out a way to not have it all taste the same. I was thinking about getting some chicken and beef broth, and some spices/spice mixes. If I come up with anything ingenious I will be sure to let you know.
- Get a backpack. I am finding that the lovely little purse/convertible backpack I bought is nice, but doesn't fit everything I would like it to. I need something that can hold at least two text books, a water bottle, an umbrella, my wallet, a pair of jeans (because Job #1 isn't casual 4 out of 5 days of the week, and jeans are much more comfortable for school/Job #2), my wallet, phone, iPod, a small makeup bag, and a snack. So I need it to be large, all while being stylish. Also, I'd like one that has a variety of pockets so I'm not left digging around in a cave of a purse. That's not too much to ask for is it? I was looking at REI's backpacks, and they actually have some nice ones that aren't too expensive. One that I am looking at, the reviewers said they could fit their sleeping bag, plus a change of clothes into.
- Get some flats. One of my favorite pairs are being destroyed. I can't wear them in the rain because water can seep in through the side seams because they are too worn out. :( Poor shoes.
- Get a comforter. I really, really, REALLY want a down comforter. The ones in the stores are way too expensive though, so I went to the Internet to shop. The downside, though, is that i can't actually feel it before I purchase it, and I want a FLUFFY one. A REALLY REALLY FLUFFY ONE. FLUFFY! But I did some research, and can tell you that 700 fill power, is top of the line. 500 is good, probably just fine for most people. Also, you definitely want a down comforter with baffle box construction. That is how they try to prevent all of the down from moving around and falling to the edges, leaving flat, down-less areas. So, in case you are in the market for a down comforter, keep those two things in mind.
That's all for now, but I am sure that more will come later. I am making a new page dedicated to my list, and as I get things done, I will cross them off. And as I think of new things, I will add them. Oh, and I decided Maruchan for lunch. ;)

That was Fast
Whoa, where did it go? It went by so fast! My precious weekend, gone in a flash. Sad.
Right now I am studying for an awesome little test I have to take tomorrow morning to get a Food Card for Job #2. It's intimidating - having to know all those different temperatures for food: thawing, freezing, cooling. We don't really deal with much of this anyways, but the card is now being required. I guess it's okay - I did learn how to properly wash dishes. Whoo Hoo!
Tomorrow I am going to go take the test, then, hopefully with a Food Card in hand, go to work.
Wednesday I will be FREAKING out. I wouldn't be too surprised if Wednesday entailed a minor mental breakdown. Midterm. Yuck.
Thursday - Midterm. Then afterwards, party time! I can relax for a moment, but just a moment, because on...
...Friday it's back to work all through the weekend.
Joy. Talk to you later. =]
