To Do

Ahhh, it's so nice to wkae up and know you have a whole Saturday ahead of you - no plans, no commitments. It's lovely, it's relaxing. Some people might think I am boring. Especially when they ask what my weekend plans are and I smile with a huge grin and say absolutely nothing. I enjoy being able to wake up, stretch, make some hot chocolate and do whatever I feel like doing at the moment. One of my favorite movies, Eat Pray Love, talks about the joy of doing nothing, and the pleasure of being lazy. I am going to be lazy today. Well, almost. I'm not going to watch movies all day with a friendly carton of Ben & Jerry's. No, I am going to get some stuff done...hopefully. Here's my list:
  • Finish setting up the layout of this bloag and learn a little more of the ins and outs.
  • Take better pictures of a few peices I have on etsy. I have a few pieces that I have frames for, and every time I tried taking a photo of the piece in the frame, the light would shine to much and reflect in the frame, making my piece look like the woman I drew is being blasted into pieces by the sun. Not good. But then, just recently, I had the brilliant idea to take the glass out when I take a picture, so there will be no glare! Good thinkin' huh?
  • Clean room. I tell myself I am going to do that every day, so the chances of that one getting done are slim.
  • I'll probably be more likely to clean out my closet and take a box into the consignment store.
  • I'd like to paint my nails today - the red I currently have on is chipping terribly. :)
  • And finally, work on some new stuff. I have some ideas in mu nogin that i don't want to share just yet. I like surprises.
Her is that framed piece I was talking about. It's really sort of, well, bad. Even more so with that huge type going accros it. At the time I didn't have photoshop, just the lame, yet underestimated, Paint application that comes on every computer. So this is the before. Perhaps tonight there will be an after.
